Data Engineering Trainer

Overview

From our Accra office, we are looking for a seasoned Data Engineering Trainer to join our Training Team. You will answer to the training head.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interesting and productive training sessions on data engineering subjects, such as cloud-based data platforms, ETL procedures, data warehousing, data modelling, and big data technologies. • To accommodate different learning styles, use a range of instructional techniques, including lectures, demonstrations, practical exercises, and real-world case studies. • Encourage learners to participate actively by facilitating dynamic discussions. • Assist students with their queries, difficulties, and worries about data engineering principles and resources by offering them direction and mentoring. • Create a cooperative, encouraging learning atmosphere that promotes inquiry and problem-solving. • Give students helpful criticism on their projects and assignments to help them develop their knowledge and abilities. • Help create, improve, and update the curricular materials for data engineering while making sure they adhere to industry best practices and standards. • Keep up with the most recent developments in data engineering trends and technologies, and integrate them into the curriculum. • Assess student performance with projects, tests, quizzes, and assignments while giving prompt, helpful feedback. • Monitor and document student progress, pinpointing areas for development and offering tailored assistance.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in data science, information technology, computer engineering, or a similar discipline. • It is preferred that you have at least two years of professional experience in data engineering or a similar discipline. • Strong grasp of the concepts and principles of data engineering, such as data modelling, data warehousing, ETL procedures, and data pipelines. • Knowledge of at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, or Scala, which is frequently used in data engineering. • Familiarity with AWS cloud-based data services and big data technologies (such as Hadoop and Spark). • Knowledge of data visualisation and integration tools. • Familiarity with database management technologies, such as SQL and NoSQL. • Demonstrated ability to succinctly and clearly communicate difficult technological concepts. • Enthusiasm for imparting knowledge, coaching, and teaching.
