Quality Assurance Officer - Food and Beverage Industry

Overview

The Quality Assurance Officer in the food and beverage industry is responsible for ensuring that all products meet the highest quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This role involves monitoring the production process, ensuring food safety compliance, and maintaining the quality of raw materials and finished goods

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess all stages of the production process to ensure product quality meets company standards. • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including HACCP, GMP, and ISO standards. • Conduct regular quality control inspections of raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products. • Document and maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, and audits for quality assurance and regulatory compliance. • Perform routine testing and analysis of raw materials and finished products for taste, texture, color, and other quality specifications. • Investigate customer complaints and quality issues, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions. • Collaborate with production teams to implement improvements based on quality audits and inspection findings. • Provide training to production staff on quality standards, food safety protocols, and proper handling procedures. • Monitor packaging and labeling processes to ensure they meet company and regulatory standards. • Review and assess suppliers’ quality systems, ensuring raw materials meet specifications and standards.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or related field. • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in quality assurance or control within the food and beverage industry. • Skills: Knowledge of food safety standards, strong analytical abilities, proficiency in MS Office, and excellent communication skills.
