We seek to hire a dynamic and target-oriented Regional Manager to oversee our operations in West Africa. Ideally, the successful candidate will be situated in Mali, Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire, or Burkina Faso, though we are open to considering other locations such as Benin, Cabo Verde, The Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo.
- Actively contribute to company culture, embodying and promoting values, and preserving culture through personal, team, and regional initiatives.
- Stay updated on market and technology trends in the region, identifying strategic opportunities and potential issues.
- Ensure collaboration with all necessary functions to support goals, including technical, support, operations, and global functions.
- Provide assistance, guidance, reports, and recommendations to the Sales Director Mining EMEA regarding costs, efficiencies, and revenue opportunities.
- Regularly report on team activity, status, risks, opportunities, and plans.
- Contribute to strategic planning for Mining across the region.
- Develop and enhance sales activities in the West Africa region, driving company growth and profitability.
- Promote Seequent Brand and value proposition, attending conferences, tradeshows, and seeking marketing opportunities.
- Identify new markets and business opportunities, oversee key deals and negotiations.
- Utilize available assets to support team growth plans.
- Contribute to the development of Mining team strategy, including headcount, resourcing, budgets, growth plans, marketing, coaching, career development, and culture.
**Leadership + Autonomy:**
- Contribute to the creation of commercial and/or technical strategy for the West Africa region.
- Understand business goals and prioritize work accordingly.
- Take ownership of day-to-day tasks autonomously.
- Mentor and support team members.

**Sales (Proactive Support) / Revenue Generation:**
- Identify and create opportunities by contacting users and potential leads.
- Conduct demos, webinars, and provide product information.
- Assist in delivering training and project assistance services.
- Support customers during product trials.
- Document customer interactions in CRM database.
**Marketing and Business Goals:**
- Understand marketing goals, product roadmaps, and business goals.
- Maintain contact with existing and potential customers.
- Monitor customer satisfaction levels and strive to improve outcomes.
- Assist with product upgrades, new releases, and new products.
**Product/Domain Knowledge:**
- Be proficient in using products and understanding mining production environment.
- Assist in testing and assessing emerging products and features.
- Learn from customer usage and provide feedback to relevant teams.
**Technical Support + Expert Services:**
- Provide quick responses, effective listening, and clear communication to resolve technical issues.
- Offer remote technical support and occasional project assistance.
- Analyze technical issues, ask appropriate questions, and find solutions.
- Manage inbound calls and emails to successful resolution.
- Conduct user "health checks" and report common issues to development teams.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a similar role.
- Extensive knowledge and direct experience in the mining and exploration industry.
- Fluency in both French and English is essential.
- Preferably holds higher education qualifications.
- Demonstrated success in delivering results in a regional, cross-functional, high-growth, and fast-paced setting.
- Effective collaborator with strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in building relationships with leaders and peers, understanding their concerns, and advocating for priorities.
- Positive, driven, intelligent, and possesses integrity, tenacity, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly analytical with a data-driven mindset, experienced in reporting on business metrics and trends, and using data for decision-making.
