Overview

The facility manager will supervise the management, upkeep, and operation of the business's facilities in order to guarantee a secure, effective, and fruitful working environment. In order to serve the objectives of the business, this position entails overseeing facility employees, managing maintenance schedules, making sure safety and legal requirements are met, and making the most of facility resources.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, plan, and coordinate the daily operations of all firm facilities, including the grounds, building systems, and equipment. • Create and carry out maintenance plans to guarantee the effective functioning of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. • To find locations that need repair, renovation, or compliance upgrades, conduct routine facility inspections. • Oversee facility budgeting, including resource allocation, expense tracking, and cost forecasts. • Verify that all facilities are adhering to environmental, health, and safety regulations. • Oversee and manage suppliers, vendors, and contractors for building projects, facility renovations, and repairs. • Oversee security procedures and measures to protect business property and guarantee a secure atmosphere for staff and guests. • Handle facility-related problems, such as equipment malfunctions or safety dangers, and react quickly to emergencies. • Create guidelines and protocols for effective facility management, then make sure everyone involved abides by them. • Keep an eye on energy consumption and put policies in place to lower it and increase sustainability.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in engineering, facility management, or a similar discipline. • Five years or more of experience managing a facility or in a related position, ideally in the mining or industrial industry. • Strong familiarity with building maintenance, systems, and safety and health requirements. • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and facility management applications. • Outstanding communication, problem-solving, and organising abilities. • Demonstrated aptitude for contract negotiations, budget management, and team leadership.
