A Mechanical Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting mechanical systems and machinery to ensure their optimal performance.
• In engine rooms and other designated places, the mechanical technician will help with the daily maintenance of all mechanical equipment and auxiliaries. Legislative requirements, business health, safety, integrity, and environmental regulations, as well as other pertinent standards and company principles, are all followed in this process. • Follows the Planned Maintenance System (AMOS) when performing maintenance tasks, making ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest possible standards. • Make sure you finish all of the tests and inspections that the Planned Maintenance System calls for. • Coordinates and keeps track of all maintenance documentation. • Carries out routine plant and equipment maintenance while maximising spare part control. • Make sure that the Maintenance Supervisor's orders are followed and that they are updated on the status of all the work that falls under their purview, including repairs, stores and consumables, and spare parts. • Guarantees appropriate handovers when shifts change. • Makes certain that all isolations to plant and machinery are in accordance with company rules and procedures and that the Permit to Work (PTW) system is followed. • Provides the necessary information to help other maintenance staff, service providers, and staff working on projects under the Maintenance Department's supervision. • Carries out all tasks and makes sure they are done responsibly and safely.
• Mechanical engineering bachelor's degree or bachelor's technical degree, or an equivalent • Being a member of a professional organisation is an additional benefit. • Proven capacity to operate independently • Possess strong interpersonal skills and exhibit accountability, pride, and quality in all facets of their work. • substantial offshore job experience • Prior experience as an FPSO with oversight of hydrocarbon process maintenance as well as marine plant and equipment • Accredited technical or academic credentials
