DC Power & Networking Engineer

Strong electrical engineering training, a track record of successfully managing and maintaining DC power systems, and the ability to support networking and IT in a data centre setting are all requirements for the perfect candidate.

Responsibilities

• Create, put into place, and maintain DC power systems, such as power distribution units, UPSs, and batteries. • Assist with networking, which includes configuring and maintaining network equipment including firewalls, switches, and routers. • To reduce downtime, troubleshoot and fix problems with network infrastructure and power systems. • To guarantee the smooth integration of power systems with other data centre equipment, cooperate with other engineering teams. • Track and evaluate system performance while offering suggestions for enhancements and modifications. • Assure adherence to industry norms and rules concerning network infrastructure and power systems. • Keep thorough records of all power systems and network setups, including incident reports, maintenance logs, and schematics. • To guarantee the seamless operation of data centre services, offer IT assistance, including troubleshooting for both hardware and software.

Requirements

• Electrical engineering or a similar discipline at the bachelor's degree level. • Five years or more of relevant expertise with networking and DC power systems. • Strong familiarity with electrical systems, such as power distribution units, UPSs, and batteries. • Familiarity with networking technology, such as firewalls, switches, and routers. • Outstanding problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. • The capacity to function both alone and together. • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. • The capacity to efficiently prioritise and manage several tasks. • Professional qualifications in networking, electrical engineering, or similar disciplines. • Familiarity with the DCIM (data centre infrastructure management) tools. • familiarity with industry best practices and standards for network infrastructure and data centre power systems.
