Overview

The chosen applicant will assist in managerial decision-making by coordinating and overseeing the calibre of the work performed by a group responsible for transportation and storage operations.

Responsibilities

• To comply with DP World and ISO 9001 requirements, start compiling and reviewing all QMS documentation (SOPs, forms, and records) pertaining to transportation. • Keep track of all non-conformances pertaining to logistical operations and carry out the necessary remedial measures. • Talk to transporters to get the services you need. • Control the connection with service suppliers. • QA is involved in auditing carriers. • For outbound distributions, create load and delivery strategies that meet customer expectations. Work with Manager FFL to oversee all Last Mile Distributions (LMDs). • Make ensuring that all transport-related actions are accurately and efficiently documented. • For outbound distributions, create load and delivery strategies that meet customer expectations. • Update all shipping guidelines and paperwork for the appropriate clients and countries. • Add all client order documentation (invoices, packing lists, COOs, COAs, PODs, MAWBs, HAWBs, etc.) to the appropriate transport management system (GiLMIS). • To maintain service levels, coordinate all logistics operations with different stakeholders. • Collaborate with customs officers to guarantee that all bond licenses and paperwork are renewed in accordance with customs laws. • To reconcile with the customs system (e-bond) at any time, track the movements of incoming and outgoing stock to and from the bonded warehouse. • Communicate with clearing agents to make sure that the right protocols and paperwork are followed while clearing both bonded and non-bonded shipments. • Update all shipping guidelines and paperwork for every country we ship to.

Requirements

• An HND in logistics and supply chain management or a similar discipline is required as a minimum academic level. • four years of experience in a similar field after obtaining a degree. • Understanding of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015) • knowledge of local distribution for FMCG, consumer health products, medicines, and allied industries. • Belonging to any professional body for logistics and operations • A valid Ghanaian work permit is required for this post.
