Electrician

Overview

The electrician will be in charge of installing and maintaining electrical components, assessing electrical systems, and spotting electrical issues.

Responsibilities

• Installing Electrical Systems: Setting up wiring, electrical fixtures, circuit breakers, and other electrical components in buildings and structures. • Repairing Electrical Issues: Diagnosing and repairing electrical malfunctions, including fixing wiring and electrical equipment. • Maintaining Electrical Systems: Conducting regular inspections and maintenance to ensure systems are functioning properly and safely. • Reading and Interpreting Blueprints: Understanding technical diagrams and blueprints to properly install and maintain electrical systems. • Ensuring Compliance with Safety Standards: Adhering to local and national electrical codes and safety regulations to minimize risks. • Upgrading Electrical Systems: Replacing outdated electrical components with modern and energy-efficient technology.

Requirements

• Competent in the installation, upkeep, and repair of electrical systems • Familiarity with hand and power tools used in the electrical trade; familiarity with Local and national electrical codes • Capacity to decipher technical blueprints and drawings • Outstanding problem-solving abilities and meticulousness Excellent written and vocal communication abilities • It is preferable to have an electrician's certification or licence.
