Director of Operations

Overview

An architecture and construction company's daily activities are supervised by the director of operations or operations manager. This position guarantees that every project is carried out effectively, economically, and in accordance with the highest standards of quality. To guarantee smooth project execution and peak company performance, the operations manager will collaborate across many teams, including those involved in design, construction, procurement, and client interactions.

Responsibilities

• Create and put into effect operational plans, guidelines, and practices to maximise productivity and guarantee that project budgets and schedules are fulfilled. • From the beginning to the end, oversee the entire project lifecycle, making sure that scheduling, communication, and resource allocation are done effectively. • Track project performance and progress, resolving problems as they emerge and putting fixes in place to maintain projects on schedule. • Verify that every architectural and construction project complies with all applicable laws, guidelines, and customer requirements. • To expedite project workflows and settle disputes, coordinate with contractors, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders. • Make sure the business maintains its agility and competitiveness by regularly assessing and improving its operational procedures. • Determine any hazards during project execution and put mitigation plans in place.

Requirements

• A minimum of a master's degree in civil engineering or quantity surveying and construction economics A certification of professional qualification is advantageous. • Ten years or more of experience in construction procedures. • Demonstrated aptitude at managing and leading a multidisciplinary team. • The capacity to recognise and efficiently address complicated problems.
