Internal Audit Officer

Overview

Help the head of internal audit carry out the internal audit plan, follow up on assigned open audit activities, participate in daily internal audit operations, and support the execution of advising and consultancy engagements. By identifying business operations risks and assessing the controls in place to manage those risks, you may help the organisation and department reach its goals.

Responsibilities

• To have a thorough grasp of the process that will be examined, collect pertinent data during this audit phase. • Lead or take part in scoping meetings with auditees to clarify and enhance the audit engagement's goals and scope. • draft memos for audit announcements. • To record IA's comprehension of the business process that has to be audited, create flowcharts and/or process narratives. • Determine the intended mitigating controls and inherent risks. • Create test strategies and protocols to evaluate control operation and design during audit fieldwork. • Define and get ready to test audit samples. • Create preliminary audit reports using the PRG IA technique. • Engage auditees in the supply of management activities with the assistance of the internal audit head.

Requirements

• Higher National Diploma (HND), preferably in Business, Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 3 years’ • internal auditing experience. • A first degree, ideally in finance, accounting, or business, and at least two years of internal auditing experience are required. • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. • The capacity to meet high performance goals and quality requirements. • The capacity to efficiently prioritise and plan tasks. • The capacity to design and carry out programs for personal growth. • A capacity for learning and growth. • The capacity to pay close attention to what other people are saying. • Capacity to comprehend company drivers and team goals in order to help achieve corporate objectives • Capacity to provide concepts, enthusiasm, and a drive to guarantee team achievement
