ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Responsibilities

- Lead entrepreneurship advocacy within the local market for ALX, devising and executing strategies to support entrepreneurial initiatives in the community

- Organize monthly in-person fireside chats with local entrepreneurs and investors to boost community engagement

- Manage quarterly demo day events at ALX Tech Hubs, showcasing startups from Incubator and Accelerator programs to local investors

- Coordinate entrepreneurship-related events such as pitch competitions, hackathons, meetups, and networking sessions to enhance brand presence

- Ensure strict compliance with self-reporting standards and quarterly updates by entrepreneurs, maintaining accountability and progress tracking

- Establish ALX Ventures as a premier hub for innovative startups and entrepreneurs in the local ecosystem, securing recognitions and grants where applicable

- Supervise and mentor community-led entrepreneurial initiatives to align with global strategy

- Participate in planning activities and retrospective assessments to drive continuous learning and program improvement

Requirements

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in entrepreneurship operations, team leadership, program and project management.

- Demonstrated success in a startup setting, actively involved in scaling ventures from their inception.

- Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, both orally and in writing, prioritizing clarity and audience engagement.

- Detail-focused with robust organizational skills and adept at building and maintaining relationships, consistently engaging stakeholders at various levels.

- Proficient in project management, capable of guiding initiatives from ideation to completion.

- Inherent problem-solving capabilities, strategic thinking, and a proactive approach to tasks.

- Adaptable and flexible, thriving in dynamic and evolving environments.

- Capacity to learn from past experiences and apply acquired knowledge to tackle future challenges.

- Experience in managing remote teams across different time zones, with exposure to international contexts.

- Previous entrepreneurial involvement or teaching experience in the field is highly advantageous.
