The Quality and Food Safety Manager will oversee end-to-end Quality & Food Safety compliance and performance in addition to creating and implementing the local strategy for the Ghanaian company. The Quality & Food Safety Director will be your direct supervisor in this position.
• Develop and Implement Quality and Food Safety Strategy: Develop, implement, and maintain a quality and food safety program that meets regulatory requirements and industry standards, such as HACCP, SQF, and GFSI. • Lead Quality and Food Safety Compliance: Ensure end-to-end compliance with quality and food safety regulations, conducting regular audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement. • Manage Quality and Food Safety Performance: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure quality and food safety performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement. • Provide Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to employees on quality and food safety procedures, ensuring that all staff understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a safe and quality food environment. • Conduct Internal Audits and Risk Assessments: Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential quality and food safety hazards, implementing corrective actions as needed. • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with other departments, such as operations, procurement, and sales, to ensure that quality and food safety standards are integrated into all aspects of the business
• Outstanding leadership, people management, conflict resolution, and interpersonal abilities • A minimum of five to ten years of experience in a manufacturing setting, especially in the dairy or food industries, and a degree in food science and technology, biochemistry, microbiology, or any relevant field • It is necessary to understand FSMS (FSSC 22000) and QMS. • familiarity with process capability improvement tools (TPM, WCM) and six sigma • Outstanding leadership abilities that have been exhibited • strong familiarity with food safety and quality control systems • Proficiency in project management, documentation, computer proficiency (Microsoft Office), and meticulous organisation
