Overview

You will be in charge of managing the contractual and financial facets of building projects, including risk management, contract administration, procurement, and cost planning. In order to control project expenses and guarantee that it is finished within the allocated budget, you will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other experts as an essential team member.

Responsibilities

• Oversee budget creation, cost estimation, and feasibility assessments for new initiatives. • Work together with the design team to identify economical alternatives that satisfy financial restrictions without sacrificing quality. • Oversee the creation of the tender papers, making sure they accurately represent the needs and specifications of the project. • Help assess contractor bids by looking at their past performance and financial standing to suggest qualified applicants. • Keep an eye on project spending in relation to the budget, spot any deviations, and recommend fixes as necessary. • In order to enable on-time payments to contractors and subcontractors, prepare or approve interim assessments for work accomplished thus far, as needed. • Evaluate and provide guidance on the financial effects of delays or modifications to the design. • Create final accounts that include a breakdown of all project-related costs and a comparison with the initial budget. • Ensure accountability and transparency by keeping thorough records of all project-related financial transactions. • Inform management on a frequent basis on the projects' overall financial health, any hazards, and budget status.

Requirements

• Building technology and quantity surveying bachelor's degree. • Membership in the Ghana Institute of Surveyors as a professional. • Three to five years of experience as a quantity surveyor, ideally in the real estate or construction industry. • Strong familiarity with pertinent legal frameworks and construction contracts. • Outstanding arithmetic and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail. • The capacity to oversee several projects and complete tasks by the deadline. • Knowledge of building materials, techniques, and laws. • Regular trips to building sites to keep an eye on expenses and progress.
