For our Corporate Segment in Accra, Ghana, we are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant with a focus on finance to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Accurate Financial Reporting: The department's financial statements will be accurate, dependable, and timely thanks to your painstaking work on the general ledger and thorough financial analysis, which will aid in well-informed decision-making. • Finding and Resolving Variances: You may help discover possible problems early on by recognising and evaluating odd deviations. This will enable you to take remedial action that enhances operational effectiveness and financial performance. • Accurate and Prompt Transaction Documentation: The integrity of financial data, which is necessary for accurate financial reporting and compliance, will be preserved by your prompt recording and reporting of accounting transactions. • Preparing Comprehensive Financial Statements: A detailed and thorough picture of the department's financial health may be obtained by creating balance sheets, profit and loss statements, consolidated financial statements, and other reports. • Strengthening Internal Controls: The department's financial protections will be improved by routinely assessing and creating new internal controls, which will ensure regulatory compliance and guard against fraud and mistakes. • Putting Best Practices into Practice: By evaluating existing accounting practices and suggesting modifications, best practice accounting practices will be adopted, increasing accuracy and efficiency. • Security and Confidentiality: Preserving the organization's worth by keeping financial data private will protect sensitive information and preserve the organization's credibility.

Requirements

• A degree in accounting, finance, or a similar discipline from college or university is necessary. It is ideal if you are a certified public accountant, certified management accountant, chartered accountant, or someone similar. • It is necessary to have substantial relevant professional job experience in the topic of study. • Having prior SAP experience will be advantageous. • Strong analytical skills that enable the development of actionable insights and the evaluation of financial data to support well-informed company choices and improve financial performance. • Regulatory Knowledge: A thorough comprehension of local accounting standards and tax laws is necessary to guarantee compliance and successfully convey important needs to stakeholders. • Expertise in Risk and Control: Capacity to recognise hazards, assess weaknesses in internal controls, and carry out efficient risk management strategies to guarantee strong internal controls.
