Overview

To support the execution of M&E procedures and guarantee the sustainability, efficacy, and efficiency of projects, programs, or initiatives inside the company. To enhance future results, this position is crucial for monitoring progress, evaluating effect, and making well-informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Examine the quality of the data already available in the project subject areas and data collecting techniques, assist in the construction of M&E frameworks for projects, and guarantee high-quality baseline statistics for impact evaluation procedures. • Keep an eye on ongoing project operations to make that they are carried out within budget, on schedule, and in accordance with the plan. • Create M&E resources, including questionnaires, monitoring checklists, reporting templates, interview guides, and surveys, and collect information to gauge the success and advancement of projects. • Create and maintain mechanisms to monitor the inputs, outputs, results, and effects of initiatives that have been carried out. • Utilising statistical techniques and tools, analyse both quantitative and qualitative data to extract insights. Support the creation of thorough reports on results that include suggestions for future work or improvement. • Utilise M&E data to guide future programming choices or to modify and enhance present initiatives. • Ensure data accessibility and integrity by maintaining the M&E database for projects, programs, and initiatives. • Keep abreast of new developments and industry best practices in M&E, and where appropriate, integrate innovations into M&E systems.

Requirements

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited university in statistics, economics, development studies, data science, or a similar discipline. • Three (3) years or more of experience in a comparable position • knowledge of project management cycles and experience with M&E tools, frameworks, and techniques. • Excellent communication abilities both in writing and speaking • The ability to use strategic and analytical thinking to evaluate project performance and suggest enhancements. • Must be willing to take on additional duties and be an excellent team player. • Sufficient familiarity with data visualisation tools like Power BI and the Microsoft Office suite, which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and others.
