Overview

The day-to-day management of processing activities, implementation of quality control, inventory control, and production efficiency optimization will fall within the purview of the Processing Manager.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a group of eight to thirty people to prepare items, control inventories, and work effectively to increase sales. • Process workers should be trained and retrained, and team protocols should be changed. • To ensure uniformity in taste, look, and presentation, adhere to the recipe when preparing food. • Keep track of the stocks of raw materials, completed goods, and packaging supplies. • Create a processing budget. • In favor of the creation and upkeep of food safety and quality systems • encouragement of innovative new goods • Manage the operations of the processing plant and maintain the facility's cleanliness Serve as the primary point of contact for diagnosing and fixing processing problems • Encouragement to carry out sensory assessments • Information on health and safety incidents, procedures, protocol modifications, recipes, sensory input, and customer feedback should all be recorded and organized. • Prepare both new and current items according to stringent sanitary guidelines. • Creative packaging concepts for various sales channels • Create new procedures to maximize staff, ingredient, and time efficiency. • Support the operations of business development and the sales team.

Requirements

• A minimum of four years of management or supervisory experience is required, along with a degree in food science and technology, food processing engineering, or other related discipline and five or more years of work experience in the food processing, food, and beverage business. • Scheduling and conducting typical manufacturing tasks • Production plan scheduling, budget planning, and inventory management • Knowledge of the fundamentals of food safety • Strong ability to optimize resources (people and equipment) • Excellent problem-solving abilities in the food processing industry • Able to operate with minimal supervision • strong proficiency in Word and Excel • Must have at least 18 months of experience leading a team. • Strong oral and vocal communication skills are required.
