Must maintain personnel records, process payroll in a timely and correct manner, and make sure that all applicable laws and corporate guidelines are followed. To serve both personnel and management by maintaining a high level of payroll services, guaranteeing data integrity, and contributing to efficient human resources operations.
Payroll Processing: • Process bi-weekly and monthly payrolls, including salary, benefits, and deductions. • Ensure accurate calculation of gross pay, taxes, and benefits. • Manage payroll adjustments, advances, and reversals. • Verify and process payroll-related documents (e.g., timesheets, leave requests). Compliance and Regulatory: • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, ERISA). • Maintain knowledge of payroll-related laws and regulations. • Manage year-end reporting and filing requirements (e.g., W-2s, 1099s). Benefits Administration: • Administer employee benefits (e.g., health insurance, retirement plans). • Coordinate open enrollment and benefits changes. • Ensure accurate benefits deductions and premium payments. Employee Data Management: • Maintain accurate employee data in payroll system. • Process new hire, termination, and status change paperwork. • Verify employee information for payroll and benefits purposes. Reporting and Analysis: • Generate payroll reports for management and finance teams. • Analyze payroll data to identify trends and discrepancies. • Develop and implement process improvements. Audits and Reconciliations: • Conduct regular payroll audits to ensure accuracy. • Reconcile payroll-related accounts (e.g., payroll taxes). • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. • 2-5 years of payroll administration experience. • Certification in payroll administration (e.g., CPP, FPC). • Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations. • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex). • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
