Overview

We are seeking to hire an English instructor with a proven track record of instructing junior high school pupils in the language. It will be the English teacher's responsibility to teach speaking, writing, and reading comprehension.

Responsibilities

• Lesson Planning: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons to meet curriculum requirements and student needs. • Classroom Instruction: Teach students in a classroom setting, using various teaching methods and materials to promote learning. • Student Assessment: Evaluate student progress, administering tests, quizzes, and projects to assess knowledge and understanding. • Student Guidance: Provide individualized support and guidance to students, addressing academic, social, and emotional needs. • Parent Communication: Communicate with parents and guardians, keeping them informed of student progress and involving them in the educational process. • Continuous Professional Development: Stay current with curriculum developments, educational research, and teaching methodologies, continuously updating skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• A minimum of two years of teaching experience is required for an English language degree holder from the University of Education, Winneba, or University of Cape Coast. • A graduate with at least two years of experience instructing English to students. • An additional benefit will be having experience with the Pearson Edexcel International British Curriculum or Cambridge.
