Finance Manager

Overview

In addition to ensuring adherence to the organization's rules and processes, this role will preserve the integrity of the accounting records.

Responsibilities

• Accurate project and account coding is ensured by maintaining and recording daily financial transactions in the accounting system. • Make sure that every transaction has the right paperwork, and keep your records for the right amount of time. • Oversee general accounting tasks including accruals, petty cash, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset management. • On a timely basis, prepare balance sheet reconciliations for banks and other accounts, and settle any outstanding balances. • Prepare the account reconciliation and analysis for the month and year-end. • Compile ad hoc and monthly financial reports as requested by the Responsible Executives and Program Managers. • Help in meeting the deadlines for creating plans and analyses for the yearly financial statement audit process. • Oversee the implementation of all procurement and spending management rules and processes to guarantee efficient internal controls. Provide suggestions for new and improved policies.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field. • 5–8 years of experience in accounting. • Outstanding proficiency using a computer in a Windows environment. Excel must be used, along with proven record-keeping and database administration abilities. • Demonstrated ability to handle many assignments, determine priorities and work efficiently under pressure of meeting deadlines • Proof that a high degree of secrecy is being practiced. • Being able to manage USAID funds is advantageous. • Strong attention to detail and organizing abilities. • Strong communication skills and dedication to collaboration. • Shown capacity to report financial statements.
