Security Manager

Overview

Oversee the Authority's security operations, such as personnel, property, and facility safety and physical security.

Responsibilities

• Create and put into place physical security measures to safeguard resources and • Create and execute security guidelines, practices, and standards to reduce the likelihood of criminal activity involving Authority workers. • Audit security and safety procedures to make sure they're compliant. • Investigate occurrences connected to security. • Electronic security equipment, such as firefighting gear, CCTV systems, and biometric access control systems, should be observed and tested for proper operation. • Liaise with the local enforcement agencies to help the Authority in any act of urgency • Make that the fire safety equipment is operating effectively. Oversee the Zonal Officers' performance and activities. • Observe and verify the security guards' effective performance. • Provide management with security-related advice about the services that the Authority offers.

Requirements

• Minimum of a first degree from an approved university in social science or a relevant field connected to security • holding a security management professional certification, • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant post-qualification experience • Being a member of the appropriate professional association will be beneficial. • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. • Outstanding comprehension of crime control with a strong foundation in security risk management. Strong report writing ability; familiarity with fire prevention and control; and evidence of leadership and managerial capabilities • Strong background in public policy analysis and public administration strong negotiating skills in contracts strong operational and project management abilities.
