Machinist

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating various machine tools to precision manufacture parts and components.

Responsibilities

• Everyday tasks assigned to the engineering department • Reading and analyzing sketches and drawings. • Work in accordance with established guidelines and standards • Use of cutting, honing, polishing, borers, drills, grinders, saws, and lathes among other tools and machines. • Examining tolerances and measurements made with gauges, electronic devices, micrometers, and verniers. • Additional tasks that may be given.

Requirements

• A minimum of five to ten years of machine shop apprenticeship. • Excellent practical hands-on understanding of technical procedures like lathe turning, boring, drilling, milling • Comprehensive knowledge of engineering drawings • A clear benefit is receiving specialized instruction in engineering methods and lathe turning.
