DRIVER

Overview

The Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting materials, products, and personnel to designated locations. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and excellent navigation skills. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials, products, and personnel to and from designated locations.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, including regular maintenance checks, cleaning, and refueling.
• Load and unload materials and products from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and secure transportation.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of materials at the delivery/pickup locations as needed.
• Plan efficient routes and schedule deliveries/pickups to optimize time and fuel usage.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and deliveries/pickups.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and team members to coordinate transportation activities.
•  Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with clients and vendors during deliveries/pickups.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of passengers, pedestrians, and other road users.

Requirements

• Required Skills or Experience Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a Driver or in a similar role, preferably in a commercial or delivery environment.
• Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.
•  Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with GPS devices and route planning software.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed during loading and unloading.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
