Promoting and preserving a safe and healthy work environment within the production facility is the duty of the HSE Officer. Implementing HSE policies, carrying out safety audits, making sure all applicable laws are followed, and encouraging a culture of safety among all staff members are all part of this job.
• Contribute to the creation and execution of HSE guidelines and protocols. • To make sure that corporate policies and legal requirements are being followed, conduct routine safety audits and inspections of the production site. • Keep an eye on how safety equipment is being used, and make sure it is kept in good condition and available to all staff members. • To find possible risks, do risk assessments on different machinery, equipment, and processes. • Suggest and execute control strategies aimed at mitigating identified hazards. • Participate in the creation and implementation of HSE training initiatives for staff members, such as safety awareness campaigns, induction training for new recruits, and job-specific training. • By informing every employee of HSE requirements and standards, you may foster a culture of safety. • Keep a record of all events, mishaps, and near-misses at work and report them. • Take part in event investigations to identify the underlying reasons and suggest remedies. • In order to comply with regulations, create incident reports and keep proper records. • Verify that the production plant abides by all applicable environmental, health, and safety laws. • Stay informed about modifications to HSE laws and regulations to make sure the business stays compliant. • Help with the writing and submitting of the necessary reports to the appropriate authorities. • Keep an eye on facility-related environmental impact activities such resource utilization, emissions, and waste disposal. • Encourage the implementation of programs aimed at lowering the environmental impact of production. • Participate in the creation and upkeep of emergency response strategies. • To guarantee that you are prepared for real situations, organize and take part in frequent emergency drills.
• Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related area bachelor's degree or diploma. • It is preferred to have an HSE management certification (NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, etc.). • two to three years of relevant experience, ideally in a manufacturing setting. • strong familiarity with national and local HSE laws. • the capacity to carry out safety inspections and risk assessments. • competent with HSE management software and the Microsoft Office Suite. • strong focus on details. • outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities. • the capacity to function both alone and together. • abilities to solve problems pro-actively. • Capacity to make wise decisions and perform under pressure.
