LSA/FFE Service Technician

Overview

In compliance with business and industry standards, the ideal applicant will be in charge of inspecting, maintaining, and repairing liferafts, lifeboats, and firefighting apparatus and systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct life-saving appliance (LSA) checks on board ships and FPSOs. • Conduct examinations of cylinders, immersion suits, life jackets, and other safety gear. • Maintenance and repairs for both stationary and mobile firefighting apparatus and systems • Assemble the paperwork for each project scope, such as checklists, certificates, and service documents. • As needed, take care of liferaft container replacements, cleaning, repairs, and labeling. • Supervise equipment delivery and pickups and make sure safety precautions are followed.

Requirements

• Technical certification for the upkeep and repair of maritime safety equipment • Understanding SOLAS and other international standards pertaining to marine safety • Demonstrated expertise maintaining fire apparatus, liferafts, and lifeboats • Capacity to operate both individually and together Excellent detail-oriented and safety-focused • Mastery of the Microsoft Office Suite • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
