Mechanic

Overview

As a mechanic, it will be your job to keep a range of cars and construction equipment in good working order by fixing and maintaining them. You will be essential to reducing downtime, boosting productivity, and making a positive impact on projects as a whole.

Responsibilities

• Maintain construction vehicles and equipment on a regular basis. • Analyze and troubleshoot mechanical problems to find and quickly apply workable solutions. • To find possible issues early on and take action to prevent them from getting worse, conduct routine inspections. • Make repairs to the mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems of cars and machinery. • To increase the longevity of equipment and vehicles, overhaul major components such as engines, transmissions, and other parts. • Work together with other operational and maintenance personnel to guarantee prompt and efficient repairs. • Keep thorough records of all equipment and vehicle maintenance and repairs. • Maintain an inventory of spare components and place orders for new ones when necessary. • Report on the condition of the equipment, vehicles, and maintenance activities on a regular basis. • Observe all safety laws and directives when carrying out your responsibilities.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or its equivalent. • It is preferable to have technical certification or vocational training in mechanics. • Demonstrated mechanic expertise, ideally with Toyota vehicles in a construction or related environment, is preferred. • Understanding of the mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in construction machinery. • Knowledge of a large variety of construction vehicles and equipment. • A dedication to high-quality work and meticulous attention to detail. • Strong ability to diagnose and solve problems. • The capacity to read and comprehend Toyota car electrical schematics and technical documents. • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities. • Knowledge of safety guidelines and practices in the building sector.
