Operations Manager

Overview

To manage our supply chain and procurement operations, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Procurement and Supply Chain Operations Manager. A guy between the ages of thirty and thirty-five who has at least three years of experience in a comparable position within the agricultural commodities industry will be the perfect candidate.

Responsibilities

• Create and put into action procurement strategies to guarantee the timely and economical acquisition of soybeans and cashew nuts. • Find trustworthy suppliers, build connections with them, and negotiate contracts to get the best terms and conditions. • Keep an eye on market conditions and trends to foresee supply chain interruptions and reduce risks. • Make sure all aspects of the supply chain are managed effectively and efficiently, from purchasing to delivery. • To guarantee seamless operations and prompt product delivery, coordinate with suppliers, logistics companies, and internal departments. • Establish and monitor inventory management systems to minimize expenses and maximize stock levels. • Verify that every commodity purchased satisfies the company's quality requirements and complies with any applicable supplier rules. • Collaborate closely with suppliers to enhance product quality and resolve any potential problems. • Oversee and direct a group of experts in supply chain and procurement, offering direction and assistance to meet departmental objectives. • To improve team performance, conduct performance reviews and determine what training is needed. • Including cost analysis, supplier performance, and inventory levels, prepare and deliver procurement and supply chain performance reports on a regular basis. • To find areas for cost reductions and process optimization, use analytics and data.

Requirements

• Three years or more of experience in a comparable capacity in the agricultural commodities industry, ideally with an emphasis on cocoa, cashew, shea, and soy beans. • An HND or bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, procurement management, or any other area related to operations management. • Thorough understanding of the supply chain procedures and the agricultural commodities market • Knowledge about ethical and sustainable sourcing methods. • Proficiency with software for supply chain management. • Strong communication and negotiating abilities. • Outstanding organizing and communication abilities. • Capacity to oversee several tasks at once and collaborate with others • Outstanding ability to solve problems and analyze information.
