Operations Manager

Overview

To manage our supply chain and procurement operations, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Procurement and Supply Chain Operations Manager. The ideal applicant will have three years or more of experience in a comparable position in the agricultural commodities industry.

Responsibilities

Management of Procurement: • Create and put into action procurement methods to guarantee the prompt and economical source of soybean, cashew, and shea nuts. • Find trustworthy suppliers, build connections with them, and negotiate contracts to get the best terms and conditions. • To reduce risks and foresee supply chain interruptions, keep an eye on market circumstances and trends. Supply Chain Operations: • Ensure efficiency and effectiveness by supervising the complete supply chain process, from procurement to delivery. • In order to guarantee efficient operations and prompt product delivery, collaborate with internal teams, logistics providers, and suppliers. • In order to save expenses and improve stock levels, implement and maintain inventory management systems. Quality Assurance: • Verify that every commodity acquired satisfies the organization's quality requirements and conforms to all applicable laws. • Closely collaborate with suppliers to enhance product quality and resolve any problems that may occur. Group Leadership: • Oversee and direct a group of experts in supply chain and procurement, offering direction and assistance to meet departmental objectives. • To improve team performance, conduct performance reviews and determine what training is needed. Analyzing and Reporting: • Create and provide on a regular basis report on the performance of the supply chain and procurement, together with cost and supplier analyses and inventory levels. • To find areas for cost reductions and process optimization, use analytics and data.

Requirements

• Three years or more of experience in a comparable capacity in the agricultural commodities industry, ideally with an emphasis on cashew, shea, and other nuts as well as soybean, cocoa, coffee, etc. • A bachelor's degree or HND in business administration, purchase and supply, procurement management, supply chain management, or other relevant discipline of operations management. • Strong communication and negotiating abilities. • Shown capacity to oversee and guide a team. • Outstanding ability to analyze and solve problems. • Proficiency with tools and software for supply chain management.
