TECHNICIAN

Overview

The Automotive Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing cars or light trucks, along with other related duties such as vehicle inspections, routine service, and maintenance record-keeping. This includes identifying issues in unique circumstances, utilizing testing equipment post-repairs to ensure vehicle safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard installation, maintenance, and repair tasks under detailed guidance, troubleshooting basic technical or operational problems with predefined solutions.
• Adhere to mandatory work instructions, including the use of personal protective equipment, to ensure environmental and personal safety.
• Provide initial fault isolation and propose resolutions for approval by the Team Leader to address issues promptly.
• Report any repair problems or issues encountered during the process.
• Utilize a variety of tools and equipment following safe operating procedures, including specialized tools, and ensure proper storage.
• Maintain a consistent work schedule as assigned.
• Follow mandatory procedures to ensure work is conducted to required quality standards and regulatory codes.
• Create positive interactions with colleagues through courteous communication.
• Continuously develop and maintain technical skills through training, coaching, and assessment activities.
• Provide technical support for inspections of engineering works and existing installations or structures, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a Mechanic.

• Job Specific Skills:
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles.
  • Familiarity with vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
  • Proficiency in handling various tools and heavy equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-performance, fast-paced team environment.
  • Commitment to observing all safety precautions.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license is mandatory.
