The job holder will be in charge of managing all warehouse and inventory tasks, such as collecting and delivering incoming local and international stock and nonstock products, as well as making sure they are properly stored and distributed internally.
Inventory Management and Control:
Give the Mine significant tactical inventory management supervision.
Verify different inventory counts and place orders for products and supplies as necessary to replenish low-stock items.
Make sure that inventory integrity, spares are issued on schedule, and receipts are binning.
Keep track of stock levels and address any disparities.
Verify that receiving, storing, and issuing actions adhere to corporate policies and procedures.
Warehouse Operations Management:
Organize frequent toolbox meetings and make sure that the company's environmental and health safety policies, procedures, and codes of practice are strictly followed.
Oversee all warehouse activities, such as receiving, assigning numbers to materials, stacking, storing, and distributing goods both in-person and virtual.
Create the best possible delivery points for end users by using effective distribution methods.
Make sure that all warehouse facilities carry out receiving tasks and discrepancy identification, and that transactions are attended to and settled promptly.
Create, carry out, and oversee a parts preservation program that adequately guards inventory items against degradation from improper storage and weather exposure.
Authorize write-offs resulting from cycle counts (up to his budget).
A degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in engineering, business administration, procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (or a similar professional organization) member by qualification (preferred).
Seven (7) years of practical experience in a related role in the mining sector or a related field, such as supply chain management or procurement.
Outstanding familiarity with inventory control and warehouse operations in the context of mining.
Strong computer abilities in relevant software.
Must be familiar with the Procurement Act, Republic of Ghana rules pertaining to it, and globally accepted warehouse/inventory standards.
Comprehensive knowledge of the protocols and practices of the supply chain.
