Overview

The Assistant Floor Manager will be responsible for safe and effective work across teams as well as designing and implementing protocols that align with the organization's strict commitment to creativity and community service. In addition, they will work to develop transferable skills among our internal team and community apprentices. This is a line manager position supporting a growing team.

Responsibilities

• Sync schedules, production goals, and pertinent processes—from material procurement and throughput requirements to machinery maintenance and material storage arrangements—across teams to guarantee effective operations. • Help put project management frameworks into place so that complicated procedures may be completed on time. • Oversee the inventory systems for tools, equipment, and consumables. • Oversee the systems for recording facilities' information. • Keep track of material processing and collecting records. • Oversee the planning and scheduling of equipment maintenance. • When required, operate machines and equipment. • Encourage the creation and application of quality control methods and examinations. • Encourage members of the reporting team and other organizational managers to collaborate with landlords, utility providers, and contractors to guarantee operational uptime. • Teach team members about planning, material throughput, and project management. • Create spending plans and oversee team schedules.

Requirements

• The qualified applicant has at least 10 years of relevant work experience, or the qualified candidate has at least a bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or a similar discipline and at least five years of work experience. • The minimum qualification is four years of experience working as a supervisor in a manufacturing facility. • The ideal applicant has finished project management certificate programs and/or manufacturing-related health and safety courses. • Although further training can be given, first aid training is advantageous. • It is necessary to be fluent in Twi and/or Dagbani as well as written and spoken English. • Proficiency in communication and organization are essential, as is the capacity and eagerness to impart information and abilities to other team members.
