Mechanical Maintenance Manager

Overview

In charge of safely maintaining, repairing, or replacing the mechanical systems and equipment in the plant to guarantee the highest possible level of output in terms of both quantity and quality while adhering to the policies, aims, and objectives of the business.

Responsibilities

• Create a maintenance plan and manage its execution to achieve the organization's overarching goals. • Create and put into place procedures to guarantee that preventative maintenance schedules are adhered to. • Take part in the creation of plans, the establishment of goals, and the evaluation of plant performance. • Create, carry out, and oversee the plant maintenance program using the cement industry's best practices as a guide. Put a special emphasis on scheduling, planning, and preventive/predictive maintenance. • Provide top management with reports outlining maintenance activities. • Give plant maintenance staff leadership, development, and training. • Verify that the plant complies with all laws and safety guidelines. • Maintain communication with other departments to make sure that the production and maintenance processes work together. • Oversee the upkeep of the current plant's equipment and facilities, as well as any necessary replacements or modifications. • Carry out any additional tasks that the Deputy Plant Director (Operations & Maintenance) may give you.

Requirements

• Mechanical engineering bachelor's degree or a similar degree • Ten years or more of expertise fixing and maintaining cement production machinery • Extensive familiarity with the machinery and procedures used in cement plant maintenance • Capacity to oversee and direct a group of maintenance workers Knowledge of purchasing, budgeting, and inventory control • Proficient in both written and spoken communication; familiar with safety procedures and laws pertaining to cement factories • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites and SAP Knowledge of other Microsoft Software
