Non-governmental organization whose goal is to support and encourage the creation of cooperative mechanisms between West African organizations and practitioners of civil society-based peacebuilding.
It operates National Network Offices (NGO's) in fifteen West African nations. The Ghana office is looking for an experienced candidate to fill the role of Accounting Assistant. Its National Secretariat is situated in Tamale. The chosen candidates will reside in Tamale.
Evaluate activity and travel requests in accordance with allocated funds.
Get the required payments ready.
Encourage timely bill payment
Examine, note, and file monetary transactions.
Processing and submission of invoices.
Completing spending reports for the Grants and Finance Manager's review
Create monthly bank reconciliations.
Communicate with clients, suppliers, and third parties to guarantee effective and efficient delivery of goods and services.
Procedure documentation should be kept up to date and maintained.
Take part in the yearly financial audit preparation.
Anything further that may be assigned.
Hold a first degree in accounting.
Four years minimum of relevant experience working with NGOs in Ghana.
Outstanding writing, reporting, and presenting abilities.
Capable with Tally, QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and other programs.
Required Qualities:
Expertise collaborating with non-governmental groups.
Strong team player required.
The capacity to operate with little supervision.
Have strong communication, interpersonal, and organizing abilities.
Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and pressure tolerance.
