Logistics and Transport Officer

Overview

On a daily basis, the officer will oversee the management of procurement, shipping, transportation, and logistical operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute the movement of goods, supplies, and equipment from one place to another. • Manage and optimize transportation routes, modes, and carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. • Monitor and track shipments, ensuring compliance with regulations, laws, and company policies. • Develop and maintain relationships with transportation providers, suppliers, and other stakeholders. • Analyze logistics data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.

Requirements

• PhD in Logistics with Experience in Customer Service • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; experience in shipping and transportation; logistics management and procurement • Capacity to fulfill deadlines and perform effectively under duress • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities • Familiarity with inventory control systems • A relevant supply chain management or logistics certification
