Overview

We are seeking a new Managing Director for Ghana who will be in charge of all business functional areas (manufacturing, supply chain, people, compliance, sustainability, finance, and sourcing) and run the company with complete market P&L accountability. Together with regional functional heads, you will spearhead the execution of the global and regional strategies. In your capacity as Managing Director, you will oversee all facets of the company's activities in Ghana, particularly the Manufacturing and LBC divisions.

Responsibilities

Purchasing Directly and Managing Plants • Control over sourcing, production, and sustainability • guarantees the fulfillment of customer obligations and the procurement of both factory and bean export objectives. • Make ensuring that commitments and objectives related to sustainability are met. • Make sure that obligations under BC sourcing policy requirements and EUDR laws are fulfilled. Oversight • In charge of the nation's P&L for both Factory and LBC • Manage the daily activities and administrative procedures Capital & Finance • Maintain cost control measures, keep an eye on receipts and outlays in designated areas to maintain solid financial control, and make sure that financial management is efficient and optimized with an eye toward profitability and risk management. • Take part in creating the budget and making effective use of the allocated finances, supplies, and infrastructure. Observance and Law • Supervise and ensure adherence to internal protocols and implement moral business conduct. • Participate in pertinent legal discussions and represent businesses in court Individuals & Direction • Recruit and assist in the creation of a cross-functional team that is effective and has the necessary skills. Preserve the company culture, bring employees together, and demonstrate dedication to a shared goal. • As we guide individuals through transition and change in our business, offer leadership and vision.

Requirements

• A bachelor's or master's degree in agriculture, administration, or economics • English proficiency is required; French fluency is a bonus. • Fifteen years or more of experience managing businesses in the agricultural or commodities sectors • Experience with commodities is required; preference for cocoa • Proficiency in creating, overseeing, and monitoring intricate and interrelated cross-functional initiatives; solid understanding of finance, accounting, management, etc. • Analyze performance assessment metrics, pinpoint the issues at their core, and pursue appropriate remedies • Strong managerial and business abilities in the production and sourcing of cocoa
