SENIOR TRESURY OFFICER

Overview

This role falls within the Treasury division within Finance and Accounts, entailing supervisory duties and coordination of treasury officers in their daily activities, including payment processing, liquidity management, and treasury reporting. Reporting to the Treasury Manager, the incumbent will also assist in banking relationship management, forex trading, and the implementation of treasury policies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate workflow among the treasury team, departments, and banks.
• Review payment instructions and SAP postings for accuracy and completeness.
• Authorize SAP Payment Run for batch payments.
• Send payment instructions to banks and ensure timely execution.
• Facilitate interbank and intercompany transfers for optimal fund utilization.
• Monitor daily closing to ensure timely SAP posting of vendor payments and petty cash transactions.
• Process cocoa/cashew funding requests and ensure prompt funding transfer to district accounts.
• Review and approve MoMo payment requests prior to cash transfer.
• Generate daily closing reports from SAP postings.
• Provide daily payment status and incident reports via swift-network and bank platforms.
• Prepare other treasury and group reports as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Over 6 years of treasury management experience in trading, manufacturing, or banking.
• Chartered Accountant qualification or partly qualified in ACCA/ICA/CIMA.
• Proficiency in SAP Payment Run, Swift Payment, and MT940 Statements.
• Advanced analytical and spreadsheet skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.
