Overview

In addition to contributing to business strategy, managing and growing the investment and portfolio team, supervising and supervising the investment process, establishing procedures to guarantee that investment policies are followed, and making decisions regarding asset allocation, external manager selection, and risk management across portfolios, the Chief Portfolio Officer is responsible for developing and communicating investment strategy and policies.

Responsibilities

• Make sure that portfolios are tracked and reported on in a timely, accurate, and value-added manner. Alert supervisors to potentially vulnerable assets in advance. • Oversee and give approval for routine portfolio activities. • Examine and evaluate the client's needs in the areas of integrity, ethics, finance, and the environment. This includes impact reports and evaluations of covenant compliance, as well as quarterly risk ratings, yearly supervision, and other management reports. • Review waivers and revisions, rights concerns, and other ad hoc portfolio activities, and give sufficient advice and quality control. • When appropriate, work with special operations to coordinate restructurings and other situations of jeopardy. • Keep an eye on intricate portfolio initiatives that support the growth and value addition of the company's debt and equity investment portfolio. • Oversee aggressive portfolio management and negotiations to optimize development effectiveness and financial outcomes. • Encourage the active management of the company's stock portfolio by overseeing the quarterly cycle of valuations, offering advice on concerns pertaining to shareholders, such as rights problems, and taking part in exit talks. • Establish and preserve a solid rapport with portfolio clients by keeping in touch with them on a regular basis, taking part in operational evaluations, and undertaking other client-related activities. • Collaborate closely with colleagues in the fields of social, environmental, governance, and technical support to enhance the businesses of our customers, discover workable solutions for industry-specific problems, and make a positive influence on sustainable development. • Work portfolio projects with the right teams, considering technical proficiency, professional growth, and a well-balanced workload. • Identify any problems and assist portfolio officers and analysts (POs/PAs) in recommending pertinent mitigants by keeping an eye on the evaluation and analysis of the data they have gathered (completeness, consistency checks, compliance checks, etc.).

Requirements

• A master's degree in finance or a related field of study is required; being certified as a CPA or CFA is advantageous. • Ten to twenty years of minimum relevant experience. • Leadership: Proven capacity to manage a diverse workforce, create and lead high-performing teams, and carry out strategic strategies. • Analytical Skills: Excellent aptitude for analyzing and solving problems. • Communication: For successful stakeholder involvement, a strong oral and written knowledge of English is required. • Technical expertise: Strong in IT tools, project management techniques, and technical abilities unique to the sector. • Leadership: Proven capacity to manage a diverse workforce, create and lead high-performing teams, and carry out strategic strategies.
