A highly qualified candidate is now being sought for by our client, a respectable logistics company, for the role of Transport Officer - Fleet.
• Track deliveries of different kinds, fuel, and upkeep inspections • Sync up the motion of light vehicles and railroads. • To optimize profit and minimize loss, create financial strategies for car maintenance and servicing. • Minimize conflicts on the road while preserving goodwill among drivers and others involved • To stop absenteeism and/or unfavorable work attitudes, manage workers (drivers) and establish work schedules for drivers and friends. • Route management and schedule operations • Make sure that all light vehicles and trucks are used, maintained, and repaired appropriately. • Create a weekly and monthly report on the consumption of gasoline and vehicles. • Develop, oversee, and keep an eye on drivers • keeping in touch with drivers on each of their designated journeys • Assess driver performance by assigning and switching between suitable job tasks. • Make sure the driver-to-mate ratio is precise. • Verify the validity of the licenses of all drivers and friends. • Make sure that every driver and employee abides by all transportation laws and rules. • Follow truck tyres with corresponding trucks, including when, who, and serial number. • Verify that your income tax, auto insurance, and roadworthiness are current. • Arrange for the purchase of gasoline for vehicles. • submitting a thorough monthly report on the movement of vehicles, fuel consumption, and issues • Any additional tasks that management assigns
• HND or degree programs in business administration, logistics, procurement, shipping, and transport management • Work experience of one to three years in the sector; a preference for fleet management experience with mechanical experience • Must be able to balance the demands of several teams and stakeholders while managing several tasks, deadlines, and expectations. • Good mathematical and critical thinking abilities are required. • Need to be able to pick up new abilities and tools and stay current with trends. • Excellent communication skills are a must. • Needs to be focused, exact, and meticulous. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are required. • Needs to be focused on providing customer service
