Supply Chain Officer

Overview

Working closely with the supply manager to provide best-in-class logistics and supply chain assistance for the ongoing expansion of Bunge activities in West Africa business is the goal of the supply chain officer position. The The position oversees the general operations at the locations of third-party partners and makes sure that all supply chain activities are accurately recorded and reported.

Responsibilities

• Arranging for shipping lines, third-party logistics companies, and shipments to be coordinated so that containers and shipments arrive on schedule and meet daily operations. • Oversee all client shipments—whether they are being shipped locally or abroad—via tankers, ISO tanks, flexitanks, or bulk shipments to ensure that the necessary paperwork and standards are met. • Oversees process compliance, administration, and seals management in accordance with audit specifications. • Overseeing surveyors and surveying; managing tank measurement, stock counting, and shea butter and shea nut operations in compliance with established requirements • Maintaining inventory levels at third-party facilities through monthly stock levels and routine audits, as well as appropriate stock monitoring. • Periodically checking MOSH/MOAH in the third-party plant and providing the necessary reports. • Organizes adherence to established quality and safety standards in the workplace and guarantees that protocols and control mechanisms are being followed. • Leads the team in making sure all administrative activities connected to logistical operations are finished on time and accurately. • Reviewing, exchanging, and approving shipment paperwork.

Requirements

• A professional certification or a bachelor's degree in logistics and supply chain management • Three years or more of experience in a logistics operation or supply chain management job, as well as expertise in the trading and warehousing of commodities, and knowledge of the shipping and export procedures • Demonstrates leadership in high-pressure circumstances while still being a true team player • Is aggressive and proactive, recognizes and seizes chances for development • Excels in communicating with partners, suppliers, and coworkers equally. It is adaptable and flexible, and it is familiar with a variety of activities and circumstances.
