We are looking for a dynamic and skilled manager of communications and marketing to spearhead our efforts to improve our brand's general visibility and increase awareness of our services. The ideal applicant will be a social impact enthusiast and strategic thinker with the ability to develop gripping marketing campaigns and appealing storylines.
• Strategic Planning: Take the lead in creating comprehensive marketing and communication plans that are in line with the objectives and core values of our company. • material creation is the process of creating and implementing high-quality material for websites, blogs, newsletters, social media, press releases, and marketing initiatives. • Working together with management, we can convey our impact, market our services, and help achieve our fundraising objectives. • Brand management: Strengthen and preserve our brand identity while making sure it is consistent across all media. • Monitoring and Assessment: Make use of metrics and analytics to plan and assess how well marketing and communication efforts are working. • Stakeholder Engagement: To increase the reach of the African CSO Platform, cultivate relationships with important stakeholders such as partners, media outlets, and donors. • Event Promotion: Arrange and conduct conferences, webinars, and events that showcase our offerings and effects. • Strategic communication: As needed, compile talks, impact tales, talking points, presentations, and briefing notes for the program teams and the executive director. Explore novel approaches to engaging audiences while assimilating optimal methodologies.
• A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a similar discipline. (A master's degree is ideal). • Six years or more of experience in marketing and communication positions, ideally in the African civil society and social impact sectors. • Three years at least of equivalent experience gained abroad. • The capacity to organize and carry out activities for various target audiences. • A track record of successfully creating and implementing marketing and communication strategies. • The capacity to examine and evaluate data on communications operations and modify plans in response to new information • Outstanding storytelling, editing, and writing abilities. • Proficiency with social media, analytics, and digital marketing tools. • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities to work with a variety of stakeholders. • The capacity to successfully handle several projects and deadlines. • Thinker who is creative, strategic, and passionate about social impact.
