Warehouse Receiving Supervisor

Overview

The chosen applicant will be in charge of managing the receiving team, making sure that goods are received accurately and on schedule, and supervising all receiving activities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the accurate and timely receipt of commodities by supervising and coordinating daily receiving operations. • Verify the correctness, quality, and condition of incoming shipments and take care of any inconsistencies or problems. • Oversee the receiving items' unloading, unpacking, and organization at the warehouse. • Provide direction and assistance as required while training, mentoring, and evaluating the receiving personnel. • Keep thorough records of all items received, including paperwork and data entry into the warehouse management system. • Work together with the inventory and purchasing departments to guarantee correct stock levels and address any inconsistencies. • Verify adherence to all corporate policies and safety regulations. • Review employees' performance on a regular basis and provide them comments. • To improve receiving operations, identify process improvements and put them into action. • Address any problems or queries pertaining to receiving operations, and maintain good lines of communication with the appropriate departments.

Requirements

• A master's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a similar discipline is advantageous. • A certification in supply chain management or logistics is advantageous. • Three years minimum of experience in a similar position or as a warehouse receiving supervisor. • strong background in warehouse management and receiving operations • exceptional time-management and organizing abilities. • strong team management and leadership skills. • proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse management software. • outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities. • Capacity to multitask and perform under pressure
