Engineer, Data & Exploration

Overview

The Engineer, Data and Exploration is in charge of investigating and evaluating huge datasets in order to derive significant insights that inform innovations and commercial choices. Designing and developing data pipelines, doing exploratory data analysis, and creating prototypes to test hypotheses are all part of the job description.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement data pipelines that gather, handle, and store massive amounts of data from several sources. • Conduct exploratory analysis on the data to find trends, patterns, and abnormalities that need to be corrected. • Create prototypes and data models to test theories and facilitate efficient business decision-making. • Create and put into practice algorithms and methods for cleaning and transforming data so that it may be used effectively and analyzed for insights and reporting. • To find pertinent data sources and variables for analysis, work with data scientists and other analysts in the BI & Decision Support department. • By putting data validation and verification processes in place, you may conduct and guarantee data quality and integrity. • Provide and keep up-to-date documentation on the algorithms and procedures used in data exploration. • creation of ad hoc reports as needed. • Keep up on new developments in data engineering and exploration technologies as well as industry best practices. • Share insights and discoveries with internal and external stakeholders via dashboards, reports, and other powerful visualization tools. • When necessary, promptly report intractable problems to the data scientist. • Other assignments and responsibilities

Requirements

• A degree in information technology, computer science, mathematics, statistics, data science, data engineering, data analytics, or a related discipline • A postgraduate degree in a relevant or comparable discipline is advantageous. • It is necessary to have at least three years of combined experience in data science, engineering, or visualization. • It is preferred to have experience in banking, telecom, or fintech. • It is desirable if you have experience working for a multinational company with a strong grasp of emerging markets. • expertise in corporate performance management, BI, and data analysis and management in the Fintech sector. • familiarity with contemporary Big Data platforms and Open-Source database, data analysis, and data management solutions. • extensive familiarity with and expertise with data reporting and visualization software (Power BI, Tableau, etc.). • extensive familiarity with and proficiency with data analytics tools (SQL, Python, SAS, etc.).
