Overview

In order to guarantee that customers have a good experience, the head bartender supervises the bar's operations and the work of the other bartenders. He or she makes sure the bar runs smoothly. Additionally, he or she should be adept at serving customers at bars and restaurants both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. He or she might mix up innovative concoctions, make classic drinks, and offer wine and beer.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the bar's daily operations, including cash handling, inventory control, and opening and closing procedures. • Give the bar employees direction and leadership, as well as handle their scheduling, performance, and training needs. • Provide customers with a warm and inviting environment while providing outstanding customer service and attending to any issues or grievances. • Work with management to create and refresh cocktail menus that reflect the newest trends, patron inclinations, and available seasonal ingredients. • Teach and instruct the bar staff in appropriate alcohol service, product knowledge, and cocktail preparation methods. • Make sure that all health and safety laws are followed, particularly those pertaining to the appropriate handling of alcoholic beverages and the maintenance of sanitary standards. • Keep the bar area, including the utensils, glasses, and equipment, spotless and well-organized. • Stay informed about current developments in the field, including goods and procedures, and impart your knowledge to the team. • Work together with the management group to organize and carry out promotions, special events, and projects pertaining to beverages. • Respond to questions, grievances, and requests from visitors in a timely and courteous manner.

Requirements

• A hospitality degree, certification, or an equivalent. • Five to ten years of expertise in mixology, or prior experience in a related area. • strong familiarity with drinks (wine, liquors, cocktails, etc.). • Capacity to operate autonomously, perform well under pressure in difficult situations, and come up with thoughtful, proactive solutions. • Exceptional communication skills both in writing and speaking. • the capacity to build and maintain productive working relationships with clients, vendors, and hotel personnel. • The capacity to recognize and assign jobs successfully. • Exceptional time-management and organizing abilities. • Maintains a discreet, professional, and moral attitude at all times. • Operates in a methodical, careful, and safe manner. • The capacity to use office and computer equipment.
