Architect

Overview

An architect is tasked with designing and planning structures such as buildings, homes, and other physical spaces. They work closely with clients to understand their requirements, create detailed drawings and blueprints, and ensure that the construction meets safety and regulatory standards. Architects also collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to bring their designs to life.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all facets of architectural work, from the preliminary phases of design to the completion of construction. • Communicate with clients to ascertain their needs and specifications. • Oversee the creation of project designs, drawings, and models from the initial concept to its finalization. • Create construction papers, specs, plans, and drawings. • Research building materials and systems, feasibility, and environmental consequences, and assemble findings into reports. • Assure adherence to safety guidelines and rules. • Establish and follow deadlines and budgets. • Lead project teams and work with pertinent stakeholders to ensure the best possible delivery. • Resolve problems that come up while building is underway. • Monitor the status of the project and provide updates. • Comply with all additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or as the job may need.

Requirements

• A degree in architecture, either bachelor's or master's, from a recognized institution. • It is highly recommended to have the necessary certifications or licenses to practice architecture. • A minimum of three years of verified professional experience as an architect is required. • Excellent computer abilities, including CAD software and other design tools. • Strong communication and presenting abilities. • Robust portfolio to demonstrate artistic abilities. • Proficiency in building materials, construction specifics, and pertinent laws, ordinances, and quality standards. • ⁠A vivid imagination and the capacity to conceptualize and produce in three dimensions. • Excellent precision and attention to detail. • Capacity to consistently evolve and remain current with relevant breakthroughs, patterns, and further sector advancements to guarantee superior output. • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. • the capacity to fulfill deadlines and work under duress.
