Engineering & Projects Team Lead

Overview

The Manager will be in charge of managing a group of people and supervising engineering projects. Managing the project lifecycle, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, guaranteeing project deliverables are fulfilled, and offering technical expertise are among the daily responsibilities. This position is in Accra, Ghana, on-site. The work scope will include, among other leadership responsibilities, business development, engineering leadership, project management, and coordination of local content.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning: Develops project plans, timelines, and resource allocation plans to ensure successful project delivery. • Team Management: Leads and manages a team of engineers and project professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback. • Technical Oversight: Provides technical guidance and oversight to ensure projects are executed to high standards and in accordance with industry best practices. • Stakeholder Management: Coordinates with stakeholders, including project sponsors, customers, and vendors, to ensure project deliverables meet their requirements. • Risk Management: Identifies, assesses, and mitigates project risks to ensure project success and minimize potential impacts. • Budgeting and Cost Management: Manages project budgets and costs, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints. • Quality Assurance: Ensures projects meet quality standards, implementing quality control processes and conducting regular project reviews.

Requirements

• Project management and engineering management abilities • Experience in sales and business development is advantageous. • An extra benefit is professional membership or qualification, such as PMP. • outstanding team management and leadership skills • Proficiency in software development and integration Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities • familiarity with industry norms and guidelines • the capacity to oversee and prioritize several tasks • A bachelor's degree in engineering or a similar discipline Work experience in the mining, oil and gas, or energy sectors
