Export Officer

Overview

Make sure that every export complies with all shipping requirements, which may include those pertaining to the consignee, the products, the intended quantities, the destination, the mode of transportation, etc.

Responsibilities

• Examine the shipment schedule and work with manufacturing in accordance with it. • Maintain an up-to-date inventory report on the completed goods and work-in-progress that are on hand. • Make labels for packages, get approval, and print for use in production. • Observe how labels and bar codes are used, and after the order is completely filled, get any outstanding items. • Plan the transportation and ULDs (Unit Load Devices), such as cargo trucks, containers, shipping seals, and customs, that may be needed to move the company's products from one location to another. • To make the delivery of a product easier, prepare dispatch reports and paperwork including waybills, shipping draft invoices, and truck and container check sheets. • Maintain all transaction records in the proper formats. • Make packing lists for every product that is shipped. • Enter orders into the SAP system and track their development. • Inquire about details of every deal; you should never assume anything and decide for yourself. • Summary dismissal will result from ignoring this. • Encourage subordinates and supervisors to make observations about actions that could have an impact on the company's profitability, sustainability, and reputation.

Requirements

• A minimum of three years' experience in a comparable capacity and an HND or Advanced Diploma in Logistics and Transport. • Ability to write and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing Record-keeping expertise • Integrity & Confidentiality • Strong organizing and planning abilities • The capacity for teamwork and the ability to fulfill deadlines • Focus on detail Capacity to interact with individuals of all levels in an effective manner
