Travel Advisor

Overview

A travel advisor is a professional who assists individuals and groups in planning and booking their travel arrangements, such as flights, accommodations, and activities. They provide advice on destinations, travel options, and help create personalized travel experiences for clients.

Responsibilities

• Convincing callers and potential customers to book a trip with Uprise Travel by phone and email • Collaborating closely with the managing partners to create and quote personalized travel plans for customers • Advising customers on necessary pre-trip preparations such as packing lists, visas, and immunizations • Collaborating with flight attendants to obtain precise airline estimates and bookings. • Taking inbound calls on the primary business line for a minimum of eight hours per day, five days a week. • Helping the managing partners as needed on other tasks

Requirements

• Extremely self-assured, possessing a distinct speaking voice and an amiable and vivacious manner • Ability to effectively and clearly communicate across cultural boundaries • A sincere desire for perfection and meticulous attention to detail • A diploma or certificate of higher education in tourism or a similar discipline (DBS, HND, or Degree). • Two years of experience in a similar sector, such as tourism or hospitality. • Outstanding English communication skills, both written and verbal. • Outstanding ability to communicate not only in English but also in Twi, Ewe, or at least one additional Ghanaian language. • Thorough familiarity with all Ghanaian tourist destinations and other travel-related services.
