The daily management and supervision of air operations will fall under the purview of the Air Operations Manager. This include managing air freight, import and export, overseeing field officers, ensuring compliance with safety rules, collaborating with the logistics and transport department, and guaranteeing seamless airport operations. In order to maintain effective operations, the Air Operations Manager will also be in charge of overseeing a group of employees and working with other departments.
• Managing Flight Operations: Ensuring smooth and efficient flight scheduling, crew assignments, and on-time departures. • Safety Compliance: Ensuring that all operations meet safety regulations and standards set by aviation authorities. • Budget Management: Monitoring and controlling operational expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness. • Fleet Management: Supervising aircraft maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to maintain a reliable fleet. • Staff Supervision: Leading and managing operational staff, including pilots, flight attendants, and ground crew. • Crisis Management: Handling emergencies or disruptions in operations effectively to minimize impact on passengers and the airline. • Performance Analysis: Analyzing operational data to identify areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Strong understanding of aviation laws and procedures • Managing aviation operations experience • Outstanding leadership and organizing abilities • Capacity to meet deadlines and perform well under duress • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills • Interpersonal and communication abilities that work • A first degree in supply chain management or logistics from an accredited university plus at least three years of experience working at the highest management level, or a first degree from an accredited university plus three years of experience working at the highest management level and relevant professional qualification at the highest level. • Four years of management-related job experience and an international diploma in logistics and transport (CILT). • Three years of minimum hands-on experience in the airport customs clearance process. • An advantage is a GRA Customs Division license.
