In addition to managing corporate communications and participating in public affairs, the Strategic Communications Specialist will be in charge of carrying out communication-related tasks such writing press releases. Although there will be flexibility for some remote work, the position will be based in Accra.
• Developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies to achieve organizational goals. • Crafting and disseminating key messages, press releases, and media statements to target audiences. • Building and maintaining relationships with media representatives, stakeholders, and influencers. • Creating engaging content for various channels, including social media, websites, and publications. • Conducting research and analysis to inform communication strategies and measure their effectiveness. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, public affairs, and executive leadership. • Providing crisis communications support and reputation management guidance. • Designing and executing internal communications plans to inform and align employees. • Managing and maintaining the organization's brand identity and visual standards. • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging communication technologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities • Knowledge of strategic communications • Capacity to write press releases that work • Proficiency and background in corporate communications • Knowledge of public affairs The following are pertinent abilities and credentials that would be helpful for this position: • Working knowledge of the nonprofit sector • Understanding of policy-making procedures • Multilingualism • Media relations experience • Context of the evidence or research-making well-informed decisions.
