You will be in charge of making sure that medical supplies are delivered to healthcare institutions in a timely and safe way. This will include launching and recovering the drones (plane) in conjunction with a group of flight operators in order to perform routine pre-flight inspections. To support continuing operations, you will receive training on how to maintain the drones and other equipment at our location on a regular basis. In order to support the expansion of our operations as we expand, you will be required to contribute to the ongoing improvement of our day-to-day operations and procedures.
• Launch and Recovery: You will be in charge of safely assembling drones in advance of more than 150 flights, carrying out necessary inspections, coordinating with controllers to get everything ready for takeoff, and launching and disassembling drones when they get back to the distribution center. • Drone and ground equipment maintenance: You are in charge of carrying out planned and unplanned preventive and corrective maintenance on aircraft and ground equipment. Aircraft body and wing maintenance, among other things, are included in the maintenance but are not the only ones. • Troubleshooting: To troubleshoot and optimize problems, you will have to work with local and US-based technical teams in addition to adhering to the requirements for the drones and ground equipment. • Initiatives: In an attempt to increase operational efficiency and extend drone deliveries to more than 150, you can be involved in both short- and long-term initiatives including cooperation between functional teams.
• A diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, computer, or electronics engineering would be beneficial. One to three years of practical experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or power plant setting would also be helpful. • You take pleasure in your labor and don't mind getting your hands filthy. • Ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere and love jobs that need you to be on your feet Ability to move heavy equipment up to 200 kg of weight during the course of a 12-hour shift • Capacity to stay focused during lengthy daily flying activities • Comfortable diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical problems using sophisticated, battery-powered equipment • Really meticulous and process-oriented • Complete professional proficiency in written and spoken English is required in order to get hired in Ghana. • Need to be open to moving to our Sefwi-Wiawso distribution facility
