Mechanical Technician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician specialized in Automation to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems integral to automated machinery. This role requires a meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance tasks on automated machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime. • Troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. • Perform repairs and replacements of mechanical components such as actuators, motors, gears, bearings, and conveyor systems. • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize automation systems for efficiency and reliability. • Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately, including parts used, work performed, and any recommendations for improvement. • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times, maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and others. • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new automation equipment as needed. • Provide training and guidance to other technicians or operators on mechanical aspects of automation systems.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field. • Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician in an automation environment. • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including pneumatics, hydraulics, gearboxes, and motion control. • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals. • Hands-on experience with maintenance tools and equipment, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, calipers, and multimeters. • Familiarity with automation software and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) is advantageous. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
